There's nothing I enjoy more than a baby photoshoot, now that my own children are growing up (too quickly!).

I always allow longer for a newborn/baby photoshoot as babies are unpredictable and regardless of how good their routine is normally, may choose the moment I arrive to have a very deep sleep..

Jacques here, slept for all but 10 minute of the shoot, despite my usual tricks and his mother's attempts to wake him.. but luckily I managed to get some shots with his eyes open.

The photos I took of him asleep are also some of my favourites, because they really demonstrate his mother's love and her bond to him..

Some parents worry about having their baby photographed, but I make sure that it’s done in such a way that they don’t notice. I work with the parents to make sure the photoshoot doesn’t interrupt the babies routine.
